Choosing a watch is personal. Choosing a membership should be practical.
Perhaps you have one watch in mind, are planning a gift, or want to add several pieces to your collection. The right membership depends on what you intend to buy, how much you expect to spend, and the warranty duration you prefer.
HORAEV offers two annual membership options: Gold and Black Gold. Here is how they compare—and how to work out which makes sense for you.
Gold: A Simple Approach to Member Savings
Gold membership costs US$98 per year and includes:
- 10% off storewide, excluding membership fees.
- 36-month worry-free warranty coverage.
For someone considering a watch purchase, Gold offers a straightforward calculation: compare the 10% saving on your planned purchase with the annual membership fee.
For example, a watch priced at US$1,500 would cost US$1,350 with the Gold discount. Including the US$98 membership fee, the combined cost would be US$1,448—a saving of US$52 compared with buying the watch at its original price without membership.
Your result will depend on the price of the watch you choose. A membership is most useful when it fits a purchase you already want to make.
Black Gold: A Higher Discount and Longer Warranty Coverage
Black Gold membership costs US$168 per year and includes:
- 20% off storewide, excluding membership fees.
- 60-month worry-free warranty coverage.
- An additional 10% off when purchasing two or more watches in a single order, applied after the 20% member discount.
Black Gold may suit customers planning a higher-value purchase, choosing watches for several people, or adding multiple pieces to their collection.
The standard 20% member discount applies even when you buy one watch. The two-watch minimum applies only to the additional 10% discount.
How the Additional Black Gold Discount Works
The two discounts are applied one after the other, not added together.
Suppose you choose two watches with a combined original price of US$3,000.
The 20% Black Gold discount reduces the watch total to US$2,400. The additional 10% discount then reduces that amount to US$2,160.
That is 28% off the original watch total, not 30%.
The US$168 annual membership fee remains separate and is not discounted. Including that fee, this illustrative purchase would total US$2,328—a saving of US$672 compared with the original US$3,000 watch total.
The additional discount requires at least two watches in the same order. Buying one watch, or placing separate one-watch orders, does not meet that requirement.
Which Membership Fits Your Plans?
Start with the watches you actually want, rather than the discount percentage alone.
Gold is worth considering if you prefer the lower annual fee and its 10% discount offers useful savings on your planned purchase.
Black Gold is worth comparing if the larger discount would outweigh its higher annual fee, if you prefer 60-month warranty coverage, or if you already intend to buy two or more watches together.
There is no need to add an unwanted watch just to reach a discount threshold. Compare the final watch price plus the membership fee, then choose the option that best matches your plans.
A Few Details to Keep in Mind
Both memberships are priced annually. Membership purchase and renewal fees are excluded from all discounts, including the additional Black Gold multi-watch discount.
Gold includes a 36-month worry-free warranty, while Black Gold includes a 60-month worry-free warranty. If warranty coverage is an important part of your decision, contact our team to confirm how it applies to the particular watch you are considering.
